I did have a bit to write on here after attending last nights meeting, but time is not on my side tonight.
Just briefly there were the usual represented factions EQC, Insurance, CCC , CERA. The foreign guy was rather interesting, he looked like he belonged in a University as a lecturer.
Ruth Dyson was right when she said that they couldnt do spearate land damage assessments in a year, but it would take many years, hence combined efforts.
These meetings tend to get ones heart beating rather fast, a mixture of anticipation of any NEW news, and frustration, anger etc. And to top it off, my nose was not good. Over the last 3 months or so I have developed a constant, half clear nostrils, but mostly fully blocked, sinus type issues. At times it is so blocked I sound like an Aussie (Pardon my pun, just what a couple of people have siad). It was a buggar as only had a tiny piece of tissue with an email address on it, so had to use this. As soon as some man went to the loo I asked him to bring out some tissue (Womens toilet was down other end of the church).
Of course, I stood in line to ask a question, that was hard to pin down, as I had narrowed my questions down to 8, and that was hard enought to do. Once again I was shut down, but yeah ok, my question incorporated a few things (Have to get in what I can if given a minute).
The main point I was asking is, 'Why bother claiming on Dec, as the house was written off already, BUT the main reason being, any monies I receive from EQC will be taken off me by Insurance, deducted from their Settlement'. As of today, somehow it works out I have lost quite a bit of money, still working out where that is happening.
EQC Claims, as per Event, is still valid, but on the other side of the court, Insurance Settlement offer, states any monies already received, about to receive, or will receive, will be deducted. Unfortunately Im at a loss on the emergency repairs for the big hole in my patio with exposed borken pipes, with mounds of germs in it.
So this was another night where no step ahead was achieved.
I subscribe to the Avonside blog and they updated today with a 'Health/Safety Alert' from EQR. This is interesting, as the last so many months I often stated about conditions under the house, the germs under there (Exposed when pics were taken through broken foundations). Months later, this alert is for people working near or with contaminated silt. But we have to live with it under us, contamination everywhere. So this will be why I have seen the long slimey black things, see through ribbed disgusting things, blow flies, dead cat corpse etc in my pics. So this is terrible to see this Alert, but it also advertises what many of us knew, but noone bothers to listen till it is made public by official people. So click on the link, it is a pdf file created for contractors working around this. I see no difference to us living with it. This may explain the skin conditions I have been experiencing, the congestion all the time in my nasal passage, etc. So yay Im not hearing voices, or seeing things, like the doctors tried to indicate. Thinking about this more, it is dispicable that the general public wer not advised. I realise now why the cats being flea'd and spraying my house each night wont help if they are also living in the contaminated silt ewwwwwwwwww - makes one jumpy and paranoid being around this environment, and all the doctors could say was 'Do you hear voices?'
